The Wrong Door is a comedy sketch show that first aired on BBC Three in August 2008. It was ground-breaking in its use of CGI that enabled unexpected events to take place in everyday life: a giant pacman runs amok in the London Underground, phallic spaceships land in a suburban garden and Brian Blessed leads a group of pirate train commuters.
Each series had its own narrative strand and set of characters. We designed and built six unique websites that offered further comedy content and background information on people and organisations mentioned in the programme. Each website was designed to be stereotypical of existing sites within that subject area e.g. Baum Technologies is a pastiche of blue chip company websites and Tactical Intelligence and Training references military research and defence sites.
