Spongebob at Bestival

Spongebob Squarepants celebrated his 10th birthday in style at the child-friendly festival, Camp Bestival, in the summer of 2009.

Nickelodeon needed a website to promote this event and to launch a competition to win free tickets and Spongebob camping goodies. The site design had to marry Spongebob's underwater world with Bestival's above-ground illustrations, whilst fitting in with the rest of the nick.co.uk website. The result was a playful mix of styles that retained Spongebob's zany character.

Zupa both designed and built the minisite. For Nickelodeon it was a move away from flash-based layouts into accessible xhtml.
