With ten offices in six countries, Imagination wanted their website to connect people Worldwide and enable collaborative communication. Their offer of “One company, one community, one offer worldwide” was central to the website re-design.
The open-source content management system Drupal was chosen as the platform for development. Its modular approach to community website building meant that functionality could be added or removed quickly so features could be easily tested.
Being one of the UK's leading design and communication consultancies, Imagination did not want their site to look like an “out of the box” Drupal site and one of the main challenges for the team was to achieve the desired design within the Drupal template framework.
Working out of their London office, the tasks as producer of the website included facilitating initial meetings to decide on the website wireframe, advising the design team on layouts, co-ordinating the in-house team to produce content, suggesting taxonomies, deciding on access-rights and roles as well as the usual day to day tasks of a project manager.
